Application of the Official Information Act

The Authority is not bound by the Official Information Act 1982 in respect of its proceedings.

Use of personal information

Your contact information, including your address, may be provided to the Mediation Service, including where mediation is directed by the Authority, or the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment who administer fee payments for the Authority.

As a party to an employment issue, all communication with the Authority will be copied to the other party involved, and they will be given an opportunity to comment on any request to the Authority that you may make.

Determinations are a matter of public record and are available online. However the records are excluded from public search indexing so information relating to a determination can only be found by searching the employment law database.
